at my house i have
But i was so excited with how the new table set up was looking in the DR that i couldn't help myself, and the outdoor dishes are perfect for that room.
please don't be mad that i didn't set the end two settings. it seemed strange to be setting up and not eating there, so i kept it at the bare minimum. You're lucky there's silverware! Then i quickly put everything away before S got home, b/c he wouldn't understand about setting a table and not eating there.
And because she goes where i go....
i am linking up to BNOTP Tablescape Thursday. Boo yah.
that looks gorgeous - very funky and hip! Love it!

This is a lovely tablescape. They don't always have to be floral, lol. You did very well with what you have, a big thumbs up for that...well done :o)
ReplyDeleteKindest regards
Are you sure this is your first? It looks like you've got the hang of it! Thanks for sharing with us!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your first tablescape! Mine was last week. I think the black, white and red color scheme looks great.
ReplyDeleteWelcome to Tablescape Thursday! You have made quite a debut, with this wonderful, dramatic table! The black and white is just stunning with the red flowers and placemats -- gorgeous! Love your sweet kitty! Mine sometimes turn up in my photos, too.
ReplyDeleteGreat job on the tablescape, love the flowers down the center and I love the red black and white, very inviting...I am a new follower
ReplyDeleteYour table is great! I love the red and black together. Your idea for the center pieces is very nice... Love it!
ReplyDeleteOh how pretty! You did very well for a first timer and how funny that you put it all away before S got home. When I was just starting to tablescape, my hubby would just look at me and smile, now whenever he sees something nice in stores, he points it out and recommends it for my tablescaping....Christine
ReplyDeleteIt is just delightful. I love the red and black, and who cares if it's fine china or melmac. I know how intimidating this tablescape blog thing can be. I think some people spend days setting the table, leave it up for a week, then do a new one. Not me, I guarantee we use everyone of mine because if I'm going to go to all that trouble (which I do say I enjoy) we are certainly going to use it. Even if it's just hubby and me.
ReplyDeleteAt any rate, your table is just wonderful.
Very nicely done - congrats!!
ReplyDeleteI love your table...red, white and black goes so well together...love the Gerbera daisies.
ReplyDeletethe kitty makes is the highlight, great shot!
ReplyDeleteWelcome to Tablescape Thursday! Love your tablesetting! Too cute about putting it away before S got home. ;-) I love to keep mine up for a while...just to enjoy and to use. Your daisies are sooo perfect down the center...feels like a beautiful painting!
ReplyDeleteOh you dear sweet soul.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind comments. May you always be charmingly blessed.
I hope you'll stop by my blog. I am hosting a giveaway for a darling French tote.
Good job, very cute!
ReplyDeleteHi again
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog back! We managed to reno our house in a year thanks to me being a stay-at-home mum! That year my eldest daughter started school, and my youngest learned to fall asleep for her afternoon naps to the sound of tile cutting, or jackhammering!! I think because we almost completely gutted the house, it helped motivated us to get it done quickly! Living in a building site wasn't much fun, but boy is it satisfying now to sit back and look at what we did. It may not be perfect, but it's ours!
:)
sounds like you have unleashed the creative dish beast from within!!! uh oh!!
ReplyDeletei thought your tablescape was very pretty especially the bold colors.
all the best,
donna
cute home; very pretty tablescape!!
ReplyDelete(saw you on new friend friday)
I had to laugh when you said you quickly clear it all away. Like it's shameful. : ) I do that, too, especially since there are only 1 or 2 nights a week I actually have someone, anyone, joining me for dinner. That's why I always forget the silverware in my tablescapes!
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous! GJ
ReplyDeleteHappy new friend Friday!
