Ok, so it ain't a fun and vibrant green yet...but it will be! Now you may remember when i shopped my own yard sale and absconded with my mother in law's blue/green, curvy, not exactly my style but free table to display the plants in my sunroom. I lived with it for a while, as we all do with free stuff, and then decided to be on the lookout-but not necessarily look for-a different table that was truer to myself.
This bar cart-ish, sunroom material looking, simple straight lined piece was all of $8.00 at my favorite thrift store, so i
What is this material? Rattan? Wicker? Sea Grass? And what is the difference between them all, i never know...and will google it later.
I love the doors (goodbye clutter) and the wheels. Take the doors off, and it's very similar to this cart.

If it wasn't gross outside this whole summer, i'd be showing you the before and after. Alas, all you're getting is the 3 cans of spraypaint pessimist me thought necessary to complete the piece...we'll see how many are actually needed...some day.
My mom thought the cart looked good as is...what would you do? Paint it? Leave it? Take the doors off?

I think the bright paint will be really cute on it! I do like the doors b/c you can hide all kinds of stuff in there as a storage area too.
Yay for 500!!!! I would paint it and leave the doors on also. If you want to remove them later you can but see if you like them on there first! Great find!
hugs, Linda
I think a nice coat of varnish or paint will look nice. Can't wait to see what you do!
Paint it! :-D I'd paint it in a darker color, but I think the one you chose is pretty too. Can't wait to see it done!
Paint it? Sure, why not?
Popped in from FFA.

Woo Hoo! I was thinking that bright green before I got to that part of the post. When I saw the spray cans with the green tops I said "YES"
I used that green to paint a couple of wicker, I do believe you cart is wicker, last year and love it. I even carried over some of that color to the kitchen.
Keep the doors for now. Like someone else said, you can remove those later.
Blessings, Ginger
BTW, I love your "A Round Tuit" button. My dad used to keep little coins in his pocket with this verbage on them. He loved to hand them out for fun. Thanks for the memories.
I think the green is going to look great!! Can't wait to see the finished product.
What a cool cart-table you got, and I am so jealous of the price of it! I would paint it green--I think it would be really neat that color. Congratulations on hitting 500--well done!
It's a great cart and a fab price! I vote for paint! Thank you for sharing your thrifty find at Potpourri Friday!
Love it, what a great piece. Yes, I think I would paint it. Hugs, Marty
I think it would be really fun painted, but if you're not 100% sure, then wait. You can't take it off.
Spray painted rattan is beautiful... love the piece!
Sandy
This would not have caught my eye. However, you did a remarkable job on it and I really like it. Well done.
What a fabulous piece....I would paint it. Can't wait to see what you decide :o)

Hi Cape!
Love your new find and it would look great painted. Just know my 70's wicker always needed another coat of paint. Yes, hippy, flower-child, my whole room was neon wicker. Maybe the newer stuff is better. I have also used fabric dye which it absorbs well. You get color without all the cracking and peeling down the road. 500 hugs.
That is a great find. What a fun cart. I think the paint will really make it pop. Thank you for sharing last week at TTF. Sorry I am so late visiting. Have a terrific day!
Yeah, I think painting it would be a cool way to clean it up and update it. What a great find!!!
Love the bar cart. It's a very useful and attractive piece. As for painting versus leaving it as is, it sort of depends on the rest of the room. It's a great score regardless.
Congrats on 500!!! This fellow cheap-ass (hee hee) is now following along :)
xoxo, Tanya
The paint is going to be gorgeous on that cart. I can't wait to see it. I'm your newest follower. I wanted to thank you for stopping by Posed Perfection today and leaving me a sweet comment about my Happy Little Hedgehog post. I hope you'll be back again for a visit soon and maybe even a follow back. Have a great week!
Blessings,
Nici
I think I would paint it but would definitely leave the doors on it! I like to hide my clutter! Blessings, Tammy
Do it! It's gonna be so cute! She would love a make-over, she's dying for a name, too! A good waitress name, since she's a server!
Hey there girly! Thanks for stopping by my little blog. I have to say I am very curious to see how your cart turned out painted. PS your kitty is adorable.
I say go for it and spray away. If you don't like it you can always spray it white. Thanks for stopping by, Laura
Spray away. I love spray paint. I use it alot. It's amazing how it can transform things perfectly. I am your newest follower. I hope you come by for a visit and say hello.
So....did you paint it? I love that color you picked. And I would keep the doors on for storage. We have a wicker/rattan cabinet almost exactly like yours, only taller. I bought it a million years ago as a bar for the sunroom and now it resides on the screen porch. A lamp sits on the top and it stores birdseed, etc. It's been a faithful little piece for years. Have a wonderful weekend. xo
Too cute although I liked in the raw! cant wait to see how you use it! Great find!
Congrats on 500! I say paint, because I have to paint everything. :) Thank you so much for visiting my blog. So glad I found your awesome blog. Your newest follower. :)
Congrats on the 500! I am nearing that myself!
Thanks so much for your visit!!
Hugs,
Deb
Cute little table! I vote paint it :-) how fun.
Thanks for such sweet comments today!
Lina
Love the paint color - definitely paint it!! Can't wait to see...
She's crying out for a makeover - and that's the perfect color! Rattan, sea grass, wicker - whatever you call it, it's a great find! I think removing the doors would be amazing - show off more cool collections in there.
Kelly
Love this cart! I'd keep the doors and paint for sure! Can't wait to see how it turns out! :)
