This victrola has been living in my dining room without a purpose for over a year.
You may remember that we won it at an auction, a completely caught up in the moment purchase of which there was no checking in with one's partner. It was all See It. Raise Hand. Win It. Now what.
Maybe we can make it be a jewelry armoire, maybe we can make it additional clothing storage, maybe it could one day make it up to the bedroom....well, i'm tired of waiting for what S is maybe going to do with it. If it's going to live in this here dining room, it should at least serve a purpose.
Oh hey, tablecloths, placemats and napkins! Look how you fit inside those little bitty shelves meant for records.
Now if that ain't upcycling, i don't know what is!
Unrelatedly, Alaska was super amazing. Awesome. Inspiring of awe. I feel blessed to have seen all that we did, from wildlife to the mountain. After going through almost 1100 photos, I have narrowed down the best which I can't wait to show you guys. Soon, my pretties, soon.

Oh, that's a neat use for it! Not much going on this summer, except we are going to Vegas the first 5 days in August! YAY! I'm super excited since we are going to go to a geeky function (SOE- Sony Online Entertainment's Conference/Convention) and we are going to go to the Grand Canyon!! I can't wait to see your Alaska photos! My in-laws went last year and it looked gorgeous!
I love it! The perfect use was found for it. See? You needed a year to come up with that bit of brilliant thinking. Can't wait to see your pictures of Alaska!
Two new indies to keep your eye out for: "The Way, Way Back" and "Fruitvale". "Fruitvale" just opened here and will go nationwide next Friday. Director is a young man who's the friend of my son's friend - one of those things. LOL. I take my connections any way I can get them. Anyway, it's getting Oscar buzz .

The perfect piece for linen storage! I've never seen one with that curvy shape to it. Very unique.

What a great way to use your amazing auction find! Love it! I am visiting from Homes Stories A to Z.
Nice piece of furniture ! I like how you use it as storage for your linens !
You remind me of the purchase of our previous car at the auction. We bought it at the spur of the moment without checking with the other partner. We ended up selling it with in 6 months :)

Looks like that little'cupboard' was made for napkins and the like! It's very cute!
And ALASKA?? WOW!~ you lucky thing! Can't wait to see some photos!
GREAT storage piece!!! and lovely lines to it also...very curvy and lucious. We took a one week cruise to Alaska and were just able to kind of stay on the coast line but it was fabulous. I would love to go back and spend a longer amount of time and go up into the interior. Can't wait to see your photos!
A wonderful vintage buy. You were smart in using this way too. Very creative.
What a perfect use for this! It is a lovely piece and I am so glad you figured out what to do with it!

i remember many years ago wanting one of those Victrolas but never got around to buying one...I love the way you re-purposed it...I love their shape...
My husbands grandparents had one. The other day we were helping his parents clean up around their place and found this in a trash pile. I was ruined. All I could think was "how did you let your parent's vintage victrola end up in a burn pile".
Love your victrola find. At a craft show I saw someone use one as their cash/wrap station. Too cute!
Have a wonderfully lovely day!
Love the way you use it!
Thanks for stopping earlier at my blog.
