It is the end of October. Pretty clearly time to talk Halloween. And still, as we have the entirety of November so stop the Xmas commercials and store displays would you please, time to talk of this glorious season of Autumn.
And with that, brought decorating. And with that brought new pots-seriously, who looks for flower pots in the middle of October? And with that brought mega super deals on said pots (it only took 7 stores but I love the modern feel, the fancy water system inside, and the thick material they're made of).
I guess with the green/terracotta they didn't look so bad, but with these black ones, they match the stairs! The dirty, grimy, BLACK stairs! Look away.
Distract yourself with boxwoods and kale.
Ah, the wonders of power washing! TAN! Not black. Contrasting, totally don't match the pots, TAN stairs! Lily is amazed at the transformation, and the quick response of blog shaming.
As am I.
Some Halloween garden goodies.
My favorite metal fellow.
Let's look at the pumpkins before they are undoubtedly ravaged by the most hideous of all beasts. I'm talking about squirrels. One of the many banes of my existence.
Enjoy, Happy Halloween, and Happy FALL!

Your porch looks great!
Beautiful - and can you believe the squirrels haven't touched my pumpkins this year - it's a miracle!

Love those pots and the plants look awesome. I can't believe the difference in the porch! WOW! That metal piece is very cool! Happy Fall!
WOW, what a fantastic transformation and I love your Halloween/Autumn decorations:) Happy Tuesday, darling.
I love your planters. They look great against your stairs. Such a nice way to welcome guests into your home.
What a great welcome look and such lovely planters. Fabulous lawn art and decor. Thanks tons for linking to Inspire Me. Hugs, Marty
Interesting to see that.
Hahaha. Your headline made me laugh - but the stairs look great! I'm hosting a giveaway for two modern printed kitchen towels that you should enter! http://homecomingmn.blogspot.com/2013/10/a-tea-towel-set-giveaway.html
Amazing job getting the stairs power washed. they look totally different. I bet you got a great deal on those pots. they look wonderful! Thanks for sharing at TTF!
Looks great! Thanks for sharing.
Wow, the stairs look fantastic! I love the plants too. The porch overall looks very inviting :)
It looks great! Charlie @pickledokra.blogspot.com
Love it!! I am thinking about flowers and plants too! I hate that all the Christmas stuff comes out so early! Let me enjoy my fall! Lol I'm hoping we'll be in our new house before too long so I still have time to unpack my Fall decorations! Floors are about done, then crown molding and baseboards, cleaning and then we'll be ready to start moving! :)
They turned out great! and I love those new pots...
XO,
Christine
Aww this is awesome, I wish I had fancy steps like that! Are you going to change it for every season?
You should see my patio! Ick!
He did such a fantastic job with the stairs. I'm loving this time of year, the cool weather and all the oranges. Your pots look really nice with the plants. The kale is so colorful.

What a difference! Your porch is so welcoming! I love when my husband breaks out the power washer too!
Love the fresh look of your Fall Decor!
I wonder what I can do to get the hubs to finish painting our porch railing :) Thanks for sharing your fresh steps and pretty Fall décor at NTT.
Blessings,
Linda
what a pretty porch =)
Love, love, love your pretty Fall pots! Have the squirrels found the pumpkins on the front porch yet? Hey, I think men secretly LOVE to power wash...it makes them FEEL powerful. It really DID make a huge difference on your stairs (but I would not have noticed the dark color anyway). It was fun to see your other Halloween decorations too.
Your fall decorations look great and the steps look new!! I so wish we had a power washer. Of course, I would be shaming someone into using it all the time too! ha! Looks great!
What a big difference! Looks great : ]
love the pots and the stairs! Do join my linky party too, Craft Schooling sunday @creativejewishmom.com hope to see you there!
