My fall stairs shamed the boyfriend into powerwashing

It is the end of October.  Pretty clearly time to talk Halloween.  And still, as we have the entirety of November so stop the Xmas commercials and store displays would you please, time to talk of this glorious season of Autumn.

And with that, brought decorating.  And with that brought new pots-seriously, who looks for flower pots in the middle of October?  And with that brought mega super deals on said pots (it only took 7 stores but I love the modern feel, the fancy water system inside, and the thick material they're made of).

And with that brought SHAME!  SHAMEFUL, these stairs!  SHAAAAMMMEEE!!!

I guess with the green/terracotta they didn't look so bad, but with these black ones, they match the stairs!  The dirty, grimy, BLACK stairs!  Look away.

Distract yourself with boxwoods and kale.

Ah, the wonders of power washing!  TAN!  Not black.  Contrasting, totally don't match the pots, TAN stairs!  Lily is amazed at the transformation, and the quick response of blog shaming.

As am I.

Some Halloween garden goodies.

My favorite metal fellow.

Let's look at the pumpkins before they are undoubtedly ravaged by the most hideous of all beasts.  I'm talking about squirrels.  One of the many banes of my existence.

Enjoy, Happy Halloween, and Happy FALL!

Love it!! I am thinking about flowers and plants too! I hate that all the Christmas stuff comes out so early! Let me enjoy my fall! Lol I'm hoping we'll be in our new house before too long so I still have time to unpack my Fall decorations! Floors are about done, then crown molding and baseboards, cleaning and then we'll be ready to start moving! :)

He did such a fantastic job with the stairs. I'm loving this time of year, the cool weather and all the oranges. Your pots look really nice with the plants. The kale is so colorful.

Love, love, love your pretty Fall pots! Have the squirrels found the pumpkins on the front porch yet? Hey, I think men secretly LOVE to power wash...it makes them FEEL powerful. It really DID make a huge difference on your stairs (but I would not have noticed the dark color anyway). It was fun to see your other Halloween decorations too.
