and i want to go. Therefore, my flat surfaces got photographed. And blogged about.
The itching for the greens, that's what spring does to me.
It does not escape me that any and all vignettes really are just piles of books topped with objects d'art or plants. Or plants and art.
And that said piles of books are pretty much about travel.
You may consider that photo a sneak peak of a project that i am super stoked about. Can you tell what it is/where it is?
Greens. Check.
Close up of the airplant-this guy is the original, his little friend has
already been replaced once. Apparently even though they aren't rooting to
anything, one can't simply snip them back for aesthetic purposes.
Whoopsy.
I mean, of corks the dining room got some succulents, why ever not? You see what i did there? Of corks.
Mmmkay...
And you can consider this sneak peak number 2, also of which i am majorly stoked. So yeah, there's been some stuff happening in the ol' cape.
Also happening...France. I am in panic/anxiety mode instead of excited mode, as per usual when i travel. There will be a fashion post (natch, it's Paris, oui?) but any and all tips pertaining to anything are welcomed. Rick Steve's (travel guru) has this nugget of wisdom-"Try to nasalize the n sound." First i need to figure out how one nasalizes anything. If you need me, i will be trying to make an n come out of my nose....

Lovely pics, and I like your writing style.
Interesting about the air fern. I've been considering making a terrarium, so that's good to know.
You're safe with that "mother-in-law" plant aka snake plant. They are indestructible.
These vignettes are looking good. So what are you up too?? I can't figure it out..LOL! I am loving your blues and whites. Oh and of cork I'm impressed with the try of corks!! I took French in High School and College and can make that n sound...really I can. The understood my French perfectly in Paris (fingers crossed). I know you are excited about your trip! :)
hugs, Linda
Love these vignettes! Hooray for spring! Oh, and I'm new around here...but I'm sort of hoping the surprise is that fun X rug that we got a peek of. I like that!
You're going to France??? If so, that is super cool! Is the surprise curtains? I am excited to see what you've got going on. :) I love all your little vignettes, that key on your table is super cool looking.
I love the vignettes! I just love Spring, even though it sure doesn't feel like it. Those air plants wouldn't last ten minutes in my house, so props to you.
Also: a.) So jeal that you are going to France. And b.) Your area rug is my faaaaaave.
Pretty! Love this inspiration for the 1st day of spring!
Pretty vignettes! I too love interior plants, they warm any vignette, place or home, like yours.
Happy Spring to you!
FABBY
Great vignettes. Succulents add a certain flair to me. I like your artistic grouping.
Have a fabulous trip!!!
I am so envious of your upcoming trip to Paris! Please post lots of photos!
Paris! I LOVE Paris. I know about four words of french but love the city. Ok my big tip: go find the Musee de l'Orangerie. It is amazing. Also don't try to do too much at the Louvre. It's overwhelming. If you make it to the Notre Dame, light a candle for me.
Have fun! Any room for me in your suitcase?
Love it! I nominated you for a Liebster Award! Click here for deets:

Your Spring vignette looks so pretty. And I love the idea of the corks in the tray! Thank you for sharing at TTF. I pinned this to the new TTF pinterest board today. http://www.pinterest.com/thriftygroove/thrifty-things-friday-features/

Very nice, thanks for sharing and linking up with us at the #WWDParty. Have a wonderful week ahead.
Beautiful style. Please come share your great taste at the Bacon Time linky, if you have not already. Have a great week. Love your interesting plant holders.
Great vignettes. I've been wondering what to do with the wine corks I've been saving, and I love this idea.
So pretty. LOL about your poor air plant--filing that away for the future!
That looks good with the green plants. Our grass just starts to green up and then it snows again.

Love the way you styled your vignettes!! I have a bunch of wine corks that I keep in a fish bowl in my kitchen..
