Halloween Tweaking

Since i took the crazy train to skull town, i needed to bring some Halloween fun into the living room.  Just a little tweaking this year, but it's strategic tweaking that doesn't scream "I didn't feel like crawling into the eaves and going through 4 bins of decorations."

Christmas Tree Shops is great for affordable seasonal stuff.  These cobweb doilies, that i also used in the dining room, came in a pack of 8 for a buck!  That little ghost box was a mere 2.

Loving the vintage inspired decorations.  Check out this cat!  Sort of a creepster.

Loving this sparkly spider ribbon that i wrapped around all my candles.  A really cheap way to add some Halloween to the hizouse.

My little bow window display, with the pumpkins turned around to show the Halloween side.  Love things that do double duty!

Pretty much the only thing going on in the kitchen.

Fallness in the sunroom.

Have you decorated less than you thought you would this year?  More? Are you pretending you don't see the I can't believe it's not butter container?  Good, i love you for it.

Love your ribbon on candles idea. I didn't feel like pulling everything out either but I do have one room full of boxes I don't want to have to put up, LOL

What butter container?? I love the ribbon around the candles! Clever Girl! I have some decorations but I'm not much on Halloween, mine are more Fall. I do like a few ghosts and cute witches but that's about it!!

Cute Halloween decor. I haven't started the Halloween stuff yet, but I do have my fall stuff out. Probably should go get my Halloween stuff out today, but I'm being lazy! {I didn't even notice the butter container until you pointed it out!}

Love that vintage looking cat. Hobby Lobby has several paper mache. pieces like that and I want them! :-)
Just learned the other day that that style was popular during the 20's.

Ok, that cat creeps me out...in a bad way. :P

The doilies are precious! Yet another reason why I am jealous of anyone who lives near a Christmas Tree Shoppe.

I love how you wrapped the spider ribbon around the candles. I bought that ribbon a few weeks ago and was stumped of how to use it... so thanks!!!

I'm just coming over from Jessa's Autumn Holiday party! Sooo glad that I did...I just love all of your autumn/halloween decor, my friend! Such pretty vignettes! I sure wished we had a Christmas shop here in Colorado. I have seen several great decorations and pretties...on the blogs...that come from there! I love your pretty halloween carved pumpkins! But I think my favorite is how you decorated your stairs...I love that! Sooo much fun and sooo festive! Thank you for sharing all of your pretties with us today! This was such a treat!!

Warmest autumn wishes,

How sweet! I love all of your little Halloween and Fall decor ideas. But I especially love that cat! Maybe your post will inspire me to finish my fall decorating, while it's still fall!

Love you humor! Such fun decor. I love the banners, and the ribbon. The cat is just the perfect touch. I have decorated way less this year for halloween per se. I seem to be stuck on decorating with pumpkins, but I guess that works too. Thanks for linking!

Spooktacular! I love the vintage inspired decorations too. I wanted to buy a pumpkin at Hobby Lobby but didn't want to spend the money. Oh well. :) And that spider ribbon is awesome! It would like great wrapped around my white candles.

Crazy!
I was checking out The DIY show off and saw my ribbon wrapped candles!
I did the exact same thing last weekend with the very same ribbon!!
I love how it adds a little extra something without being too much! Love it!
I made mine into little sleeves with some fabric glue, that I can just slide off and save for next year!
