wishing for window boxes

I'd love for S to build us some simple window boxes to bring a little pizzazz and color to the ol' cape.   Nothing frou frou.  Just an extra bit of interest.  Sorta like these....

I love window boxes but they don't seem to go with my 60's Ranch home. Hope you can convince S to build you some! I settle for planters on my deck and yes they make me very happy! hugs, Linda

Love these window boxes too... we've talked about doing one on the front entrance window.... but now we've talking about maybe just doing a box on the railing of the front deck instead... we'll see!

Hope you and your fam are doing well! xx

I love window boxes, but they don't work with our modified cape, especially since we put the bay window in. They'd look great on your house though.

Check you email when you get a chance. I sent you one!

I love window boxes! And I think they would look fantastic on your home!!!

Unfortunately, my homes windows sit so low, I don't think they'd look right. But man, I do love me some window boxes. :)

I love window boxes too...I have them on the front of the house(ranch)and love them. I found them at a yardsale for $2.00, they were white then I painted them a barn red now they are a kakie color same as the garage door. You will love them!

So ironic! I purchased a plastic window box this weekend that is grooved on the bottom to fit on the deck rail. We're trying to sell our home and sprucing it as quickly as possible. I love your pix...if I land in a new place that would be worth the effort!

I agree. I think window boxes bring so much charm to a house. I don't have them , but I'd love them!

I love the concept of window boxes but I would never maintain them, so I'd have dead plants constantly...

I'm dreaming of a freshly painted house where I can walk without tripping over boxes.

So sweet! Especially the one made with the little pickets. We just inherited some deck planter boxes from my parents. I'm thinking about investing in window boxes for our dormers, too. They add so much charm.

Thank you for such a great comment on a post I wrote a few blogs back. I was so delighted by your kindness, and it just made my day! :) Thanks thanks thanks! :)

I LOVE window boxes, and had one once upon a time. Problem with window boxes, at least for me...they're just a royal pain in the you know what to water. Mine sat roughly at eye level, which made watering from the outside a problem, and watering from the inside was also an issue, as I'd have to take the screen out every time. After sitting outside my kitchen window for 11 years (9 of them with weeds in them), I finally yanked that thing down and chunked it into the trash.

Did I mention that I still LOVE window boxes...only on other people's houses!

yeah I want window boxes too, but I have windows that swing open like a door. They would knock off the flowers. Love window boxes so much.

I'm dreaming of several things, but window boxes are on my list! I'm going to make some out of reclaimed wood! I can't wait!
