wop wop

my bubble is burst.

you know i'm on this quest to debrownify the living brown.  debrownify, to me, means adding white.  just go with it.

i've never been happy with the hand me down/borrowed end tables.  thought of spray painting them (white, of course.) they're yellowish and knotty.  knot for me.

found these from ikea.

they're white. and silver. and modern. check.

S informs me the big one is the size of our ottomans.  Not gonna cut it people, not gonna cut it.

Boo, hiss.

What's bursting your decor bubble these days?  Let's commiserate.

I am so bummed about our 'surprise' bedroom re-do because I really wanted to tackle the living room first. Now every time I'm in the living room it bugs me more.

I spent way too much time looking for a blue lampshade. I had no idea it would be so hard to find one! Every store had neutrals and a few colors, but no blue! Even the ones online were icky or the wrong size. Finally, I gave in and bought fabric to cover a white one. Once I actually set up the lamp in the room, I didn't even want the blue anymore, so I'm leaving it white! Waste of time!

What a bummer!

My bubble burster has just been time, lately. So much on the list and not enough time. I wish I could be a vampire and not sleep.

Jeff and I have been looking for bedside tables for ages. Nothing is the right size or height, and the worst is that I really want new lamps, but can't get them until we get the tables (cape house roof issues, you know).

That is a bummer that they are not the right size! So hard to find the right furniture. But keep on looking there are so many great stores out there!

Is the size of your ottomans bad because it's too big or too small?

I am currently looking for a square dining table that seats 8, which seems to be an impossible task... I'm right there with you.
