Oh, apothecary!

Thursday i went to my favorite thrift store, and the place was pack jammed!  Not only with new goodies, but with people, too.  I'm not used to that...i felt all sorts of hyped up, like i had to find my goodies now now now!

I'm in the mood for fall (it's practically September) and i couldn't pass up this heavy pumpkin shaped jar.  no way, no how.  6 dollars.  More than i normally spend, but this guy is big and heavy, and holds all sorts of decorative possibilities.  However, if it wasn't for him, i would have hit the 6 dollar mark yet again.  i know.  weird.

Again with the planters.  This one reminds me of an artichoke or something.  $3.00, good size, perfect condition.  Already white.  check!

Yes, yes, i was that excited to arrange them in threes that i didn't take off the tags or the tape!  The one on the left i had, but the little guy was a quarter and the tall one was $3.00.

I'm not sure how i feel about this, what do you think?  i think without.

Temporary living quarters til they make their appearance stuffed with acorns and pinecones and leaves.  Can not wait!

Great find! Love the apothecary jars. You can never have to many. I like to put small shells in them in the summer and I found some tiny pumpkins at Hobby Lobby for fall.

Love the pumpkin and the jars. They are so neat you can fill them with so much. I like them on the pedistals too, maybe you could just use some tacky adhesive so it won't be permadent and then you can change them up. Visiting from NTT.

Great finds. I love them with the glass bases, gives them such an elegant look, but makes them a bit more fragile too, I guess. Have fun decorating with them.

I love the apothecary jars! I really need to start keeping my eyes out for some too.

I, like you, LOVE fall and can't wait! I envision filling jars with wonderful fall-y items. :)

I vote for adhering them to the candlesticks...the items inside show off much better when they are raised. these have cute shapes to them - good find!!

I just bought the exact same small apothecary jar from a resale/antique store for $3! I thought it was a pretty good price (considering on Etsy they are at least $10!)! Dang .25! What a steal! :D

Great finds. I found a pumpkin jar just like yours a few months ago. Can't remember what I paid for it but I was just so excited about it, I knew I had to get it. Can't wait to see what you do with yours.

You made a great find on those apothecary jars. You were lucky that all those other people were not after the same thing. Love the grouping of them. They make more of a statement when they are grouped like that.

They look good.

I also have a few jars like these and I change out the content for the season. Summer gets things beach like. Winter gets more pine stuff. Christmas time gets christmas tree ornaments because my cats destroy the tree every year.

I also like to use them in my craft area to hold odds and ends. Seems like they just look better in glass.

I always, always buy cute little jars when I see them. And I love that pumpkin. That just reminded me that I bought a pumpkin jar on my last thrifting trip. Where oh where did I put it? Haha.

Love those jars! Great finds! I have to start looking for mine {I put some away over the Summer} because you're right, Fall is the time to fill these babies with acorns {or candy corn} and I know I have vase filler in bags somewhere, too. If I don't start looking now, I'll never find them!
