I wonder...

I wonder why i continue to buy cat nip scented items and things that roll for a cat that needs nothing more than cardboard boxes to amuse herself with.  Today, as i visit my step pop-pop at hospice and worry over my great-uncle's surgery, i need to focus on the little things that bring me joy.  And that is this cat.

I too find in the stress of life that the simple pleasure of watching my cat can calm and make me understand that the simple things are what matter. Keeping you and your family in my thoughts.

My previous cat, all she needed was a ball of aluminum foil to keep her interested for hours on end. Our current monster boy can't have a toy, because the dogs will destroy it...so instead he plays king of the mountain. Give him any box (doesn't matter how big), and he calls it his own. That's a happy cat!

My heart goes out to you and your family!

My roommates two cats like anything that resides on my dressing area countertop. They especially loved the paper flowers I made. I am still missing one that I made before Christmas! You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Visiting those we care about in Hospice is enough to stress a soul.. but it's a good thing to go visit them..If your cat makes you smile then I say "Get him more boxes"...
take care

Kitties can bring such joy, and a few headaches, but mainly joy. :-)

So cute!! I bet she is a pleasure. Our pets are so important to our mental health. So glad you have her to make you laugh during this difficult time. Hugs, Ginger

Thats too funny, just like a kid, you buy them the fanciest toy and they go right for the box. The simplest things in life are so awesome.

This is why I love cats. They can brin your blood pressure down and relax you faster than any other creature. Not too mention, they can just crack you up!

Awww, kitty in a box! Pets are silly and wonderful creatures. Blue loves LOVES loves toys that have already been gutted and are mere scraps.

I'm sorry it's a stressful time and I'm glad to hear that the kitty is bring joy to you.
