Letters about coffee

Dear Starbucks,

Are those pumpkin spice lattes you have this time of year really that good?  Everyone seems to be over the (harvest) moon for them, yet i have yet to try them.  It's your location that keeps me away-your parking lot is the size of a postage stamp.  Cars circle 'round like vultures and two or three tail you to your car.  I don't need that sort of pressure when i'm trying to back up.  Also, your pricing is ridiculous.  Shall i bite the bullet for this once a year treat?

Dear Wawa,

New pumpkin spice cappuccinos?  How similar to Starbucks, and yet your price is so right.  Shall i see what all the fuss is about?  (After sipping) Ooh, child, this is fabulous stuff.  I can see why people get excited over this drink.  Thank you for selling 16 ounces for, like, a dollar.  This is my new favorite fall treat.  I am already thinking about the next Wawa run i can make.

Do me a favor, ok?  Bring this back every year.  Don't tease me like you did with your winter time sugar cookie cappuccino, because where's that been these last two seasons, huh?  Believe me, i look, and i've been disappointed.  Gingerbread is most certainly not the same.

And, um, i promise that wasn't me taking all those packets of sweet n low.  That was somebody else super excited to be stuffing them in rocking their burnt orange fall bag.

Yours in good drink,
the cape on the corner

Sorry to say, but I have not yet had a pumpkin spice latte. I will say though, that I very seldom go to the coffee shops because I think that the prices are crazy. When I do visit one, it's a mocha for me.

Hugs,
Susan and Bentley

Yes, the prices are a bit absurd, but I do think it's totally worth it once in a while. =) It really rounds out the perfect Fall day!

Try this recipe! I made it and thought it was pretty tasty, and pretty cheap :)

you should prob stay away from Starbucks then. Yes they are THAT good. seriously THAT good. Woth the $3.50. Also it kinda seems like you are on the "dont give into the hype" path lol So it's def best.
FYI Wawa took away my Kona (it's an occasional guest now) and for that I am pretty sure the pumpkin treat you talk about will go away.. just like the Kona :(
but I will try this pumpkin goodness you talk about.
thanks for the heads up.

Haha! This post cracked me up. I'm planning a birthday trip to Starbucks to indulge and splurge but otherwise can't justify the cost. Good to know Wawa's got my back with their version, even if it turns out to be not quite as good. And how can you tease me with the mention of something as delicious sounding as sugar cookie cappuccino? That's just cruel.

This looks so pretty but I don't drink coffee! I guess I could get them to poke the cream and spices on top of some hot chocolate! :)
Thank you so much for popping in to see me.
be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

I truly hate anything remotely coffee flavored. I wish I didn't, because it all looks so yummy!

I got so tired of the overpriced lattes at Starbucks that I bought my own cappuccino machine and now I make my own. Have never indulged in the seasonal drinks, I'm a pure espresso kind of gal.

Haha! Really great post! I love the salted caramel hot chocolate at Starbucks, but I just treat myself once a week! I have never tried the pumpkin spice latte although I have friends who love it! Angie xo
