Summer bathroom decor

Can you believe it is almost August?  Where on earth did the summer go?  I, for one, am thrilled to be so close to Fall and a certain little holiday called Halloween.  My cousin posted on facebook that there are 99 days until Halloween.  Pretty soon, fall decorations, outfits, and porches will be de rigueur on blogs and pinterest and i can't wait!

But if you (crazy person) are still hanging onto summer and want to inject a little summer style into all the rooms of your home, look no further for inspiration than My-Bathrooms.co.uk.  Their animated video shows tips on bringing some summer touches into your bathroom, with my favorite tip being the addition of greens and plants.  As you know from my living room plant collection, i'm really into greens this time of year.  A snake plant is a no fail plant, and can withstand the shade if your bathroom doesn't have a window.  Since our hall bath no longer has the window (it's now the sunroom shelving niche) this would be a change i can easily make.

What about you?  Can you see yourself incorporating any of those ideas into your home?  Do you already make summer changes to your bathroom?  And be honest, who else is happy over the Halloween count down.

I have done nothing to our current bathrooms as we are renting and thus somewhat uninspired. This video is....kind of funny and spooky! Can't wait to see what these two gals have up their sleeves for Halloween! I am a 'fall girl' as well, mainly because the weather cools off and there are a lot of things to look forward to. Adding plants is a great idea, that would make the bathroom feel a lot fresher, I think. Hope you are getting a lot of use out of your outdoor space! Ann

I love plants in a bathroom, but both of mine are so tiny that there isn't room or light at all! So for now I'll keep my houseplants in the living room window!

I adore Halloween and am SO excited that this year I will be celebrating it in a climate that will have a fall.

Until then, I hope you are enjoying the summer.

I have a wee little bathroom so the only plant that's ever been in there is a small Christmas Cactus :) Snake plants are wonderful though...someone just gave a nice on to my son and DIL and I assured her that she'd not be able to kill it! :)
